{"id":640,"date":"2024-02-20T15:20:17","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T15:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chatworthrowe.co.uk\/?p=640"},"modified":"2024-02-20T15:22:09","modified_gmt":"2024-02-20T15:22:09","slug":"head-of-research-economics-uae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chatworthrowe.co.uk\/active-assignments\/head-of-research-economics-uae\/","title":{"rendered":"Head of Research &#038; Economics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The role holder is responsible for leading the Economics and Research department and overseeing the development and execution of the Economics and Research group<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify areas of research that will result in meaningful and impactful reports that provide input into economic thinking.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to a wide range of issues that span different branches of economics by providing analysis, policy and program design and capacity development.<\/li>\n<li>Lead on development and implementation of research strategy, ensuring that individual programs and projects: are consistent with overall strategy, are creative and rigorous and will have tangible impact and influence.<\/li>\n<li>Lead a team to conduct detailed economic analysis, using robust methodology and make recommendations based on research.<\/li>\n<li>Provide economic expertise to Board Directors as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>People Management Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Define goals and key performance indicators for all direct reports and ensures effective implementation of the performance management process.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the direct reports by evaluating their performance, providing feedback on an on-going basis, identifying development needs and coaching them to ensure capability development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualifications and experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A PhD in macroeconomics, monetary economics, financial economics or a related field such as monetary economics.<\/li>\n<li>12 + years relevant professional experience in an international financial institution &#8211; Bank etc. or ministry of finance.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a Research Institute or academia also acceptable.<\/li>\n<li>Published in Top Economics and Financial Journals \u2013 Desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative modelling and econometrics to support analysis and policy recommendation.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The role holder is responsible for leading the Economics and Research department and overseeing the development and execution of the Economics and Research group Key Responsibilities Identify areas of research that will result in meaningful and impactful reports that provide input into economic thinking.
