{"id":671,"date":"2023-10-09T10:44:41","date_gmt":"2023-10-09T09:44:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.chatworthrowe.co.uk\/?p=671"},"modified":"2023-10-09T10:44:41","modified_gmt":"2023-10-09T09:44:41","slug":"chief-financial-ombudsman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chatworthrowe.co.uk\/active-assignments\/chief-financial-ombudsman\/","title":{"rendered":"Chief Financial Ombudsman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Key headlines but for a more detailed JD please contact Robin Rowe \u2013 rrowe@chatworthrowe.co.uk<\/p>\n<p>JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the Regulation on Establishment of a Financial Complaints Resolution Ombudsman is being followed by licensed Institutions and Insurance Companies.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the conduct of business by regulated entities to ensure it complies with the applicable laws and regulations, informs consumers of their rights that consumer complaints and queries are being addressed\/responded to in a fair, timely and efficient manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>STRATEGIC:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote the establishment of excellent client relationships, ensuring that the Ombudsman Unit operates with the objective of offering best in class solutions to consumer inquiries and complaints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OPERATIONAL:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the work of the Ombudsman Unit; including directing, advising, and counselling the staff of the Ombudsman Unit.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Ombudsman.<\/li>\n<li>Work and coordinate with the Board of the Ombudsman Unit and various committees as directed by the Board of the Ombudsman Unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Guide and motivate staff of the Ombudsman Unit to enhance performance and produce quality work and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CANDIDATE POSITION SPECIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>Education \/ Qualifications \/ Certifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related Business or Finance subject.<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Professional affiliations \/ certifications with a recognized institute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15 &#8211; 20 years of experience with at least 6 years in a similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing large teams of staff across multiple tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Problem Solving &amp; Decision Making Drive for Results<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration + People Focus<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership experience in a regulatory or Ombudsman entity.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead a team of professionals, set strategic priorities, allocate resources effectively, and drive performance.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for developing reports and communicating with stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Key headlines but for a more detailed JD please contact Robin Rowe \u2013 rrowe@chatworthrowe.co.uk JOB PURPOSE Ensure that the Regulation on Establishment of a Financial Complaints Resolution Ombudsman is being followed by licensed Institutions and Insurance Companies.
